IT'S MY BLOGOVERSARY!! Today, the blog turns two years old!! I have an entire week filled with guest bloggers, and posts written by moi! So today, this post is thanking everyone and also a bit about why I started this blog. Enjoy!! (Don't forget that I am doing a giveaway!)

To the Readers

Thank you so, so much for taking the time to read this blog! Without you guys, there would be no blog! Over these last two years, you guys have shown me so much support with the reviews I write. Especially recently, where I have been writing poems about bullying- you have really shown me your support, and how bullying is a thing that needs to be recognized. Once again, thank you so much for reading this blog and I hope that you continue to view the blog in the future!

To the Bloggers

Firstly, I would like to thank Rita and Holly for helping me out celebrate this week! Thank you for taking the time to help me out with some of the posts this week! Secondly, I would like to thank the following bloggers: Lucy, from the reviews you've written I have spent the majority of my bookish money on the books you recommend; Erkia, your book photography is fabulous; Fionnuala, I adore the reviews you write; Sally, I love it each time we meet up and we have a lovey catch up and to everyone else, you have made me feel so welcome in the Blogosphere and I am gratefull for that!

To the Authors

There are so many authors that have inspired me to become an author myself. From Suzanne Collins, who started my love for reading to Sarah Crossan, who started my love for poetry again. The blog wouldn't even have existed if there weren't any books to read! These authors have taken me to so many different worlds, I have fallen in love with many characters- who inevitably seem to get killed off and I have learnt so many things!

Why I Started This Blog

12 year old me!
When I was younger, I used to detest the idea of reading. I used to call it a chore and I would laugh at the idea. However, I was out with a friend, who is a massive reader, and she decided to take me into a Waterstones store. I had thought the idea was absurd, but she took me down to the YA section and handed me a copy of The Hunger Games. All I was told to do was to read it and tell her what I thought. So I did. (Just to let y'all know, I was in Year 6 when this happened...And I am now in Year 9...Please don't judge me,) Three days later, I was hooked onto the story- and I needed more of it! And ever since that day, I have been a book lover. Then a year later, I found a novel called Glass Houses (by Rachel Caine) which was one of the novels that made me want to become an author,

After months of ranting about books, my friend told me that I should start a blog. I did and two years later, here I am! I first started the blog out on WordPress and the blog was originally called Hardcore Geeks but a year after I had started that blog- my account was hacked. I moved to Blogger as a result. However, Blogger went through an update and everything on my blog was wiped. I have worked really hard to restore everything to this blog and I am so glad that I have gotten to this point! So thank you so much!
